Descriptive Information
  • Field marks: "Corolla 5-lobed, pinkish-white. Bases of lobes glandular and hairy. Calyx 5-lobed, lobes triangular and glandular. Terminal racemes not leafy. Stamens 5, attached to upper corolla tube and opposite the petals. Infertile stamens lacking. Basal leave soften absent at flowering time. Stem leaves alternate, oblanceolate, obovate, entire, thickish, smooth. Lower mid-vein often reddish-purple. Lower leaf petioles winged. Stem smooth, reddish-purple, branched."
