Descriptive Information
  • Field marks: "Head solitary, terminal. Flowers tiny, centrally clustered around the bracts. Bracts reflexed, apex green, base white. Bracts lanceolate, 7 or more. White portion of lragest bract usually longer than 1 in. (25 mm). Leaves primarily basal, linear, smooth, shorter than the flowering stem. Flowering stem smooth, ribbed."
